Competition Results
The Stephenson Cup was played on Saturday with Duncan Fox winning his third trophy in as many events! Duncan continued his fine early season form by scoring 40 points to add the Stephenson cup to his trophy cabinet next to last weeks Rayrigg Greensomes trophy and early April’s Hazelhurst. Steve Field took second place with 39 points with Dennis Bayley in 3rd with 38 points. Saturday saw the best turn out of the year so far with 64 entrants playing in glorious conditions.

Celebrity Chef Evening
A fantastic evening was had by the 50+ who attended Ricky Andalcio’s event last Friday. Ricky showed everyone how to cook some favourite dishes and was even brave enough to let some of the members loose in his “kitchen”.

Impact Coaching
Thank you all for helping to make our PGA Teaching Professional Sam’s first month at Windermere a successful one. Sam’s teaching diary has been full the last couple of weeks and he has successfully implemented junior coaching on Saturday mornings with 18 juniors attending as well as hosting Monday evening ladies classes attended by 11 ladies. Sams get into golf beginners classes have also been attended by 10 new golfers taking their first steps into the game through the facilities here at the Club.

Course Update
The blue marker posts providing relief from the wall on the left of the 16th have been removed as there is now sufficient grass growth to hold balls up rolling down from the fairway.
If dry(ish) conditions continue we hope to remove preferred lies from 1st May onwards; signs from the 1st tee will be removed if this is the case.

Open team of 4: Saturday 5th May
The first open event of 2018 is approaching with only a few places available. Open to men and ladies both members and visitors; the competition can be booked online or through the golf shop and is only £60.00 for a team of 4.

Par 3 Competition: Monday 7th May
After the success of the Masters Par 3 competition a few weeks ago, the course will be set up in a par 3 format again to host the second event of the season. This event replaces the superstars day which has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. A few course/card tweeks will see the layout changed slightly with the aim of the game still the same: a fun, friendly competition played over 11 par three holes.
Tee times can be booked in the golf shop or online between 4pm & 5.30pm.
